Christmas Gift Guides 2024

Christmas time again! How does that sneak up on me every year?

In year’s past, you guys have enjoyed the gift guides I put together. I put a lot of thought into each and every recommendation that I put on my lists, and I spend a ton of time researching products. I think the best gifts are the ones that someone really puts a ton of thought and effort into, finding the perfect thing.

I hope you find something on this list that helps you get your holiday shopping done a little quicker this year!

To shop the guide, find the number in the collage and click the link for the product below it in the description. I’ve included a table of contents to help you navigate to the guide that interests you.

Most of these links should work for both Canadians and Americans!

Gifts for Her

  1. Kindle – I have been a Kindle reader for years and years! I love that books I’ve read no longer pile up. I love that I can always start reading a new book as soon as I finish one without having to go anywhere. I love how lightweight they are and the built-in light so I can read without disturbing my partner! I can’t imagine going back to reading regular books now.
  2. Audible Subscription – If she loves to read but doesn’t have time to, maybe she would love an Audible subscription to listen to her favourite stories while she’s walking the dog or folding laundry or driving the kids to their next activity!
  3. Kindle Cover – If she already has a Kindle, how about a personalized embroidered cover for it?
  4. Loafers – I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect loafer and I think these are it.
  5. Matching Set Hoodie and Pants – I was gifted this matching two piece set from Left On Fridays and I have been wearing it non-stop! A bit of a splurge but she is worth it and she’s going to live in this I promise.
  6. Ruffle Socks – So cute with leggings or peeking out under jeans, a great stocking stuffer too!
  7. Tote Bag – A tote bag is always useful for Farmer’s Market runs or carrying all the kids’s stuff, this one is especially pretty!
  8. UGG Slippers – If there is one thing I always splurge on it’s footwear. I wear my shoes and slippers into the ground and I want them to last! I had several pairs of knock off slippers that I had to replace every season until I finally got a pair of UGGs for Christmas one year and haven’t looked back since! I wear my almost daily and they are going on three years! Highly recommend!
  9. Pajamas – I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago from H&M and I’m glad to see them back this year! I can’t sleep in flannel or anything too hot but in the winter I also want long sleeves and pants, and these are the perfect mix of that and so soft, too.
  10. Merit Beauty Set – Earlier this year Merit sent me a few of their products to try, and I must admit I love them more than I can express. The complexion stick is especially amazing. I always felt like makeup was so heavy and cakey and Merit feels like nothing on my skin. This is a splurge that she will love.
  11. Floral Sweater – If she loves pattern she will love this cute sweater! (Pssst I also found a very similar look for less here!)
  12. Shark FlexStyle – This is going on my own Christmas list. If you have heard of the (very expensive) Dyson Airwrap, this is a very similar concept at a fraction of the price and I’ve heard nothing but good things. Its a blow dryer, a hair dryer brush, and a curler all in one.

Gifts for Him

  1. Monnogrammed leather toiletry bag – I bought this for my husband a few Christmases ago and it’s still going strong, such nice quality.
  2. Carhartt Duffel Bag – Anything Carhartt seems to be universally loved by men for the simple and rugged quality. I love this duffel which is great for a few days away.
  3. Marble Chess Set – If he likes chess and games he will love this carved marble chess set. Its so pretty it doubles as decor so maybe it’s a gift for the decor lover, too.
  4. Backgammon Set – Along the same lines is this inlaid wood backgammon set you won’t mind leaving out.
  5. Leather Charging Tray – If your husband leaves all the things on his nightstand like mine does, he might like this handy leather charging tray where everything can charge wirelessly at once and still look organized and contained.
  6. Waxed Canvas Lunch Kit – This looks like a brown paper lunch bag but it’s made of durable waxed canvas if he’s brown bagging it to work. It even comes with cutlery!
  7. Scoring Tumbler – We play a lot of games in the summer time and they are usually accompanied by a beverage of some sort and remembering the score becomes somewhat more difficult, if you get my drift! This insulated tumbler has a scorekeeper on the outside which is genius.
  8. Car Phone Charger – This was on my gift guide last year and made the cut again. My son has one now too, it has strong suction to sit on the dash and automatically grabs your phone when you hold it in place for a quick charge while driving, no plug in required.
  9. Personalized Whiskey Decanter – This is a beautiful bottle that you can customize and etch however you like, perfect for the whiskey lover.
  10. Personalized Yeti – The name of this gift guide could also be ‘stuff you can personalize’. I do think that personalized gifts are something special. We are Yeti lovers in this house, for both hot and cold drinks, and you can now customize them to have their name, their favourite team or just about anything else you want on them!
  11. Portable Air Compressor – This is so handy to have to keep tires topped up and inflate the summer beach inflatables at the beach or the winder snow tubes. It works using the power from the car so no need to keep it charged up, he can just stow it in the trunk and always be ready.
  12. Cologne – Did you know there was a Yellowstone Cologne? I am sure this smells better than a real cowboy would. I also included my son’s favourite cologne One Million on this list.

Gifts for Teen Girls

  1. Birthstone Stacking Set – This layered bracelet is 14K gold plated and you can customize the stones to reflect her birth month. (pssst you can use code ERIN35 for 35% off anything at this shop!)
  2. Shark Flexstyle – I added this to the gift guide “for her” as well as the teen girl because I couldn’t decide who will love it more.
  3. Squishmallow Key Chains – from 10 to 20 years old they all love a squishmallow. These pint-sized versions are just like the original but you can take them anywhere!
  4. Owala Bottle – The next big trend in water bottles seems to be the Owala and for good reason. It has a straw and a free pour spout, and comes in many cute colours!
  5. Baggu Crescent Bag – A cross between the belt bag that has been the rage for the last few years and the C-shaped purses that are so on trend; this casual bag is the perfect combo.
  6. Cluster Pendant – Teens love charms, and I love that everything on this one is customizable, from the chain style to the charms so you can really customize it to reflect her.
  7. Lulu Ball Cap – a simple cap but with that Lulu Lemon quality and fit, she will love it for those bad hair days (if you didn’t get her #2)
  8. Billie Eilish Perfume – One of the most recommended scents for teens, a light vanilla fragrance that she’s sure to love, especially if she’s a Billie fan.
  9. Flower Lego – Have you seen these flower Lego sets? They are the cutest and any teen girl would love to relive her younger years and put this together to decorate her room.
  10. UGG Tazz – These shoes are still a hot commodity among teens if you can find them in stock!
  11. Tattoo Pens – Girls love to write all over each other and now they can use a temporary tattoo pen (made by Bic) to decorate themselves and their friends.
  12. Heatless Curls – This type of heatless curls has gone viral on Tiktok for good reason since they are easy to put in and give her overnight curls without heat damage.
  13. Link Earrings – these huggie link earrings are all the rage and this brand is very well rated for having inexpensive gold-plated jewelry for a great price.

Gifts for Teen Boys

  1. Fidget Pen – If your boy is a fidgeter like mine he will probably like this fidget pen that can be used as a pen or shaped into a multitude of creations.
  2. Drum Set – this roll up drum set has very good reviews and is perfect for learning on without committing to a huge set up. It has a speaker and even better, a headphone jack!
  3. Carhartt Hoodie – Teen Boys love a hoodie and the Carhartt hoodies are at the top of their list. My son has a lined one that he wears in lieu of a winter jacket 90% of the time!
  4. Nintendo Switch – If he’s into video games at all and doesn’t have a switch yet, he’s probably already let you know about this one!
  5. Crocs – Another year that crocs are still a thing, the boys especially love ’em.
  6. Controller Stand – If he is a gamer, he will love this personalized video game controller stand to hold headphones, controllers and more!
  7. Mini Fridge – We bought one of these for my son last year and he loves keeping a few snacks and drinks handy in his room!
  8. Snacks – If there is one thing that most teen boys love to do, that is EAT. This care package contains healthy-ish snacks that should keep him going for a week or so!
  9. Portable Projector – There are lots of portable projectors on the market but I like this one because is has a built in JBL speaker so you don’t need additional sound, it has great ratings and it is very small and easy to carry around. He will love watching movies in his room or outside with friends.
  10. LED Strip Lights – The teens love that Neon glow all over their room and their cars, and LED lights are getting better all the time! These ones are smart lights so you can control using your voice, set up a schedule, and use millions of colours and they sync to music! He will want them everywhere.
  11. Phone Case Wallet – My son has always had a wallet on his phone case and he likes this one because you don’t need to flip it open to use your phone. Don’t ask them to take care of both a wallet and a phone, one is enough.
  12. Tabletop Punching Bag – When I tell you my son loves this punching bag I’m not exaggerating, it sticks securely to the tabletop and is still going strong under pretty constant abuse a couple of years later. When his friends come over they all punch it too.

Gifts for Any Teen

  1. Film Camera – Teens are obsessed with taking pictures using real film. Do they have an amazing camera on their phones? Yes. Do I understand why they like this? No. I love this Kodak one because it’s re-usable and also pretty dang cute and comes in a few colours.
  2. Rocketbook – This is the COOLEST THING. You write in it and it digitizes whatever you write, notes or diagrams, day planners, you name it. Then it can be erased and used again! Both of my college age students think this is genius.
  3. Neon Sign – What kid does not want their name in Neon? These are customizable and really affordable too.
  4. Phone Amplifier – Any teen would love this cute little guy that holds your phone while it amplifies the sound!
  5. TikTok Cookbook – If you want to get your teen to cook more try this cookbook! Filled with viral TikTok recipes they might actually be interested in cooking!

  7. Gumball Machine – My son has had a gumball machine since he was little and he always keeps it stocked up.
  8. MetaQuest – The popular VR system is something both of my kids enjoy. You will love how much more active it is than a regular video game.
  9. Echo Spot – It is no secret we love our Amazon Alexa Smart devices in our house. The new Echo spot has a great speaker, a screen with a clock and this one with a stand also has charging ports on the front.
  10. Waterproof Speaker – We have a version of this JBL speaker and its got great sound and the handy clip means you can put it anywhere – on your backpack, in the shower, you name it.
  11. Patchwook Hoodie – Boys and girls alike are very into patchwork hoodies! If they aren’t into making one this one is super cute.

Gifts for the Chef or Foodie

  1. Handmade Kettle – I received this as a gift last year and I love it very much. It is a splurge but it is also a work of art that I leave out on my stove top. I use it on my gas stove and it works wonderfully.
  2. Ninja Creami – I have held out on the viral Ninja Creami until now but I think this is going on my Christmas list this year. My husband loves ice cream and I love that I can make my own healtier versions using the Creami.
  3. Serveware – One thing that I think most chefs would agree on is that there is never enough serveware. I think something simple and beautifully crafted like this platter would make anyone’s meal look great and would go with any style. (Psst: You can use my code ErinZubot for an additional discount!)
  4. Checkered Cutting Board – We leave a cutting board on our counters at all times, and if you are going to leave it out, it better be cute! Any chef would be happy to leave this trendy checkered board on their counters.
  5. Wood Spoons – Any chef who is taking care of their cookware knows that a wooden spoon is their best friend to make sure they don’t get scratched. I love these ones that would also look good hanging out in a crock on the counter!
  6. XBloom Studio – This is a splurge item, but I worked with this company recently and had a chance to try this it’s upped my coffee experience at home. It is like coffee science and it makes the most delicious pour over coffee. Any coffee lover would be thrilled with it.
  7. Moccamaster – This is the other coffee maker that we use to make full pots. I did a ton of research before I bought this, it was rated the best drip coffee maker by America’s Test Kitchens! It also makes a great cup of joe.
  8. Aeropress – I was travelling recently and complaining about the terrible in-room coffee machines in my hotel and someone suggested travelling with my own Aeropress! Why haven’t I thought of that? This would be great for the coffee-lover who likes to travel (or camp!) It’s on my wish list, I might have to get two, one to keep in our travel trailer!
  9. Kitchenaid Special Edition – This special edition design series Kitchenaid is a work of ART. The wood bowl and green finish is something any baker would be proud to leave out on the counter!
  10. Popcorn Bowl – This stoneware popcorn bowl has a removable bottom with little holes in it to filter out uncooked kernels! Genius!
  11. Lid Stand – This is a little ceramic gadget that holds your lid so it doesn’t drip all over the counter, it collects condensation in the bottom and keeps your counters clean. Comes in a few colours too!
  12. Half Baked Harvest Newest Book – If I tell my family I’m making something from Half Baked Harvest they are instantly excited for dinner. Anyone who likes to cook and enjoys flavourful, unique dishes will love this.

For the Traveller

  1. Neck Saver – If they travel a lot they probably already have a neck pillow but unless they have one like this… they are not really sleeping on a plane. This thing straps to the headrest to keep your head from bobbing, and it is a GAME CHANGER on that red-eye flight. It is comfortable, blocks light and some sound, and rolls up really small too!
  2. Travel Backpack – I bought this for my husband before our last trip to use as his personal item and this thing is so great! It opens up flat so you can pack it like a suitcase, has several compartments to keep everything including a separate laptop sleeve, has a strap for carrying on your rolling luggage and several ways to carry it. I bought him the black one but it comes in a ton of colours, too!
  3. Beautiful Duffel – If they do a lot of overnighters, maybe they just need a pretty duffel bag? I love the pattern on this one and it has the quality of Hershel so I know it will stand up over time, like my kid’s backpacks which have been used and abused and still look great.
  4. Clip Portable Speaker – these little speakers are handy to have for travel. My husband took his speaker like this on our recent trip to Ireland and Scotland and it has great sound for such a small speaker and the clip makes it handy to clip onto almost anything.
  5. Phone Mount – a lot of shorter flights no longer have screens on the plane so this handy gadget holds your phone so you can watch an inflight movie.
  6. Lifestraw – If you are worried about water in different locations this is a handy thing to travel with. It removes bacteria and parasites through a filter in the straw.
  7. Kindle – The Kindle is a game changer for travel. Multiple books loaded onto a single device, compact and lightweight. This new version comes in green, too!
  8. Leather Passport Holder – a stylish and convenient way to keep that well-used document safe. I love this one that is leather and can be monogrammed.
  9. Travel Mirror – A very compact little travel mirror with a light is a travel essential, this one is small, inexpensive and highly rated.
  10. Safe Lock Box – This is such a smart idea! A mini safe for things like documents, money and phones for in your hotel room or to strap to a pole while you are taking a dip in the ocean.
  11. Apple Airtags – The Airtag is a must for frequent travellers to track that baggage and make sure it gets to it’s final destination.
  12. Packing Cubes – Packing cubes are essential for the frequent traveller. They are so great for keeping your suitcase organized and allowing you got get so much more stuff in there. They also help you riffle around in your bag for stuff without making a mess of everything. I like these ones because they are mesh and breathable, and allow you to see what’s inside without opening.

For Grandparents

  1. Heated Stadium Seat – They will love these stadium seats if they love to watch the grandkids play all their various activities. Nothing is more uncomfortable than a bleacher, and if Grandma is always cold she will appreciate the heated seat function on these!
  2. Hand Warmers – along those same lines, if Grandma or Grandpa’s hands are always cold, these electric warmers are reusable and rechargeable and slip inside the glove or the pocket to keep hands warm during dog walks or early spring baseball watching.
  3. Neck Fan – Grandma is either too hot or too cold, am I right? She might like this portable neck fan during the heat of the summer.
  4. Kindle – A Kindle is such a great gift for anyone on your list, which is why it appears in a few places on my list. Even for a technologically challenged grandparent, they are pretty simple to use and understand. My mom has a Kindle and goes through a new book every couple of days, and she loves that she doesn’t have to deal with storing or getting rid of the hard copies when she is done. (Tip: my mom and sisters are all on my account so if one of us buys a book we can all read it!)
  5. Kindle Cover – Last year I bought this Kindle cover for my mom and she loved it, it makes your Kindle look like a beautiful old book.
  6. Kindle Holder and Page Turner – If they have a Kindle, they might love this Kindle holder and page-turner! It holds your Kindle so you can be hands-free to snuggle in bed or hold a cup of tea, and the small remote turns the pages for you. It clips onto a headboard or tabletop.
  7. Garden Trimmer – My mom bought this cordless garden trimmer last year, it’s lightweight and easier to manage than a set of manual clippers and rechargeable so there is no cord to deal with.
  8. Birdhouse – If they love watching birds come and go from the garden, they will appreciate this handmade birdhouse to attract birds and look good hanging out in the yard.
  9. Garden Kneeler – If your grandparents love to garden, this will help them stay out there a little longer. It works as a kneeler (with handles to help them up again!) and also a stool, and has a pouch to hold garden tools.
  10. Letters to Grandparents – This one requires a bit of work for the kids but it’s something the grandparents will treasure for the rest of their lives. Each letter starts with a prompt for the kids and has a space to write when it was sealed and when it should be opened. They will love this for years to come!
  11. Jar Opener – Let’s face it, Grandma is not as strong as she once was. Mount this jar opener on the bottom of a cabinet to make opening jars a breeze! A practical idea they will love.
  12. Fleece Jacket – If it’s one thing I know it’s that Grandmas love layers. Get her a cozy good quality fleece that she will have for years to come.

For the DIY’er

  1. Electric Screwdriver – Everyone thinks they don’t need this if they have a drill, and then they try it and find out how awesome it is. To turn a screw you simply twist it in the direction you want the screw to go. It flattens out straight like a screwdriver or the handle twists like a regular drill. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and easily my favourite tool and it will be theirs, too!
  2. Folding Work Table – We bought this folding worktable a couple years ago and it’s amazing. No matter how impressive their shop, they can always use another work surface. This one folds flat and hardly takes up any room, it comes with clamps to hold your project in place and can be connected together if you buy more than one.
  3. Oscillating Tool – We use this little flush-cutting oscillating tool very often. We have two of these and this one by Dremel is my favourite, it works great, easy to change the blades. Anytime you think “How am I going to cut that off?” the oscillating tool is usually the answer.
  4. Laser Distance Measure – For the DIY’er that likes things to be PRECISE. You can understand why this is a great tool. Accurate for up to 100′ to 1/16 of an inch. No more asking for help holding the other end of the tape!
  5. Miter Saw – When we first bought a miter saw we bought a cheaper one and we quickly outgrew it. We needed something that was capable of cutting larger boards, beveling in both directions and accurately. This was not the first saw we bought but it will be our last.
  6. Cordless Brad Nailer – I have a brad nailer that works with a compressor, and the amount of times I have wished for a cordless version can not be counted. It would be so convenient to not have to drag out the compressor. This is a great tool for anyone starting out in DIY as it can be used for so many projects.
  7. Laser Level – If they don’t have a laser level already this is a great one. It’s simple – set it down and it shoots a line horizontally and vertically, perfectly level. I use it with my old phone tripod or you can set it on any surface. I use it for wallpaper, tile, trim work, the list goes on!
  8. Scaffold – When we moved into this house my Dad bought us a rolling scaffold and I can not tell you how handy it has been. It is much nicer (and safer!) to work on than a ladder and it is easy to fold away for storage when not using. I love it when I need to do anything near the ceiling and need to keep a lot of tools or supplies handy. A must for any DIY’er!
  9. 3 Step Ladder – A ladder is essential to any DIY’er but it can be such a pain to haul it around. I bought a three step ladder this past year and it seems so simple but it’s a game changer. It is light and easy to move and tall enough to do simple things like painting.
  10. Clamps – For the DIY’er that has everything…. let me tell you they NEVER have enough clamps.
  11. Studbuddy – A stud finder that actually works? Yes, please! This simple stud finder is just a magnet that finds nails and screws in your wall. Where there is a nail, there is a stud. Simple. Effective. Fabulous.
  12. Tool Shelf – If they are a DIY’er they probably have a smattering of tools all over the place and this handy shelf provides a place for everything, including the spare batteries.

I hope these lists were helpful or sparked some ideas for that special someone on your list!
