I have the spring cleaning bug, how about you? I have the urge to purge, the need to organize all the spaces, and my home feels a little…. meh right now.

I peppered in a few new affordable finds around the house from Bouclair and let me tell you, that really has me feeling inspired again and got me excited for Spring! If you have not heard of Bouclair, they are a Canadian Home Furnishing and Decor brand that has been around for over 50 years! They were started in Montreal and have newly revamped stores all across Canada. They will also ship directly to your home so you can shop online if you don’t live near a storefront.

Bedroom Refresh

My bedroom I made over in 2022 and I have left it mostly the same ever since, so I wanted to change things up in here a little. I was contemplating painting or adding wallpaper, but I thought I would try some new bedding and a few new pieces first and….. wow! I’m so glad I did because it was such an easy and affordable upgrade, without all the work!

I added a new bench at the foot of the bed, a gorgeous textured white duvet and some super soft bamboo sheets! The bench is no longer available but this one and this one are similar!

Bedding

First up I thought I would swap out some of the bedding. I am doing my best to will spring to come early so I wanted to try something light and airy! I chose this off-white waffle-textured duvet cover (in ivory) and paired it with some super soft and luxurious bamboo sheets!

I am over the moon impressed with the quality and feel of this duvet cover. I love that this will work with whatever pillow combo or curtain pattern I throw into this room. It is a really nice basic at a great price point.

This duvet cover and shams have the best texture!

I find myself lately waking up on and off being either too hot or too cold, and I have read all about the benefits of bamboo for your bedding with temperature regulation so I thought I would give these bamboo sheets a try. I love how silky smooth they are and although I have only used them for a couple of nights so far, I am sleeping really well. My husband also mentioned how much he likes them!

The bamboo sheets and waffled duvet cover are both a really beautiful cream colour which is the perfect neutral for my space

Bench

I added a storage bench to the end of the bed, and it’s just the perfect deep saturated blue for my room. It has so much extra storage, I can keep all my spare sheets and bedding right here! We have a shortage of storage in our house so I jump at the chance to add some any chance that I can. It’s nice and sturdy to sit on, too. The bench I got is no longer available but this one (in the most gorgeous green!) is similar and this one in white!

Around the House

Decor

Do not sleep on the decor at Bouclair! The pieces I chose look like something much more expensive or out of an antique shop, I can not believe how affordable these were!

I loved the ceramic table vase that looks a lot like an antique jug. The texture on this is SO GOOD. I put some dried eucalyptus in them and styled them on my sideboard in my dining room.

I also got a black vintage style vase and I paired them with some yellow faux flowers to add a little pop of colour to the room! (I put three bunches in this vase!) The vase I got is no longer available but this one is similar!)

Throw

I snagged this cozy throw for my little reading corner on the sofa, and it’s the perfect shade of deep brownish red to pop against the colours in my living room. It not only looks nice but it’s so soft to snuggle under.

Lighting

Did you know that Bouclair has lighting, too? I was blown away by their selection of lighting. When I made over my basement this past fall, I strategically cropped out the ceiling because I couldn’t find anything I loved for the light fixture. But I have to crop my photos no longer because I love this linen scalloped one I found at Bouclair!

I found this linen scalloped pendant at Bouclair and is this not the perfect thing? It was meant to be! It gives off the coziest glow. It comes with a pretty long adjustable wire so I was able to swag it over to my living space. This one is no longer available, but this one is super similar!

Baskets

A lot of you spotted these baskets when I made over my front closet and already asked about them!. I made over my closet so that I am not embarrassed to open when guests come over. I snagged two of these basket trunks to keep on the highest shelf, and I could not love them more! They have a lid, fit up there perfectly and are really going to go a long way to making that makeover look like a million bucks by hiding all the not-so-pretty things inside!

This trunk style basket is such a great size, it would be so good for stowing toys, books, extra linens or throws or whatever you want to tuck away!

I made over this closet and these wicker trunks are perfect for hiding away things and keeping the shelf organized! Two of these fit on my top shelf of the closet perfectly.

I’m so happy with all the new pieces from Bouclair! If your house is feeling a little empty after the holidays as well, and you want to freshen it up, these pieces are a great place to start!
